World Cleanup Day 2024: Make Room for Life!

UN-Habitat organized a Cleanup Campaign across eight townships—Taunggyi, Kalaw, Nyaung-U, Pyapon, Bogale, Dagon Seikkan, South Dagon, and Thanlyin—where the MCCA program funded by the European Union is being implemented.

This year marks a milestone as World Cleanup Day is officially recognized on the United Nations Calendar of International Days, empowering millions around the world to tackle the waste crisis!

Highlights from our campaign:

🚮 Over 2,000 students, teachers, parents, and volunteers joined hands to clean up their communities.

🌱 Climate Champions and Eco Club members actively participated, promoting awareness of waste management and climate action.
