Local Climate Action in Myanmar Methodology and Tools for a Community-Based Approach (Vol. 2)
Local Climate Action in Myanmar Methodology and Tools for a Community-Based Approach (Vol. 2) presents a practical toolkit comprising 14 participatory tools designed to guide township-level planning for climate change adaptation and mitigation. Building on the methodology outlined in Volume 1, this companion volume provides step-by-step guidance for collecting local data, conducting community workshops, identifying climate hazards, and developing inclusive, gender-responsive climate action plans.
Developed under the Myanmar Climate Change Alliance Phase 2 Programme (MCCA2), this publication equips local governments, civil society organizations, and communities with practical methods for assessing vulnerability, mapping hazards, envisioning future climate scenarios, and co-designing actionable responses. The tools emphasize participatory engagement, community ownership, and the integration of climate science with local knowledge to support resilient and sustainable local development.
