Nominee Video: Beating Plastic Pollution Short Film Competition (UN-Habitat Myanmar)

Single-use plastic bags may seem insignificant, but they can have a big impact on the environment. If we all use just one bag a day, that adds up to billions of bags per year. Many of these bags end up in landfills, where they take hundreds of years to decompose. Others pollute our oceans and waterways, where they can harm wildlife and enter the food chain.

We all have a responsibility to reduce our use of single-use plastics. We can do this by bringing our own reusable bags when we go shopping, using reusable water bottles and coffee mugs, and avoiding disposable straws and utensils.

By making small changes in our daily lives, we can make a big difference in the fight against plastic pollution.

Let’s stop using plastic. Let’s beat plastic pollution.
